Au revoir!

This post is just what the title says... I'm giving up the blog for a long while, probably forever. Infact, I'm quitting social networking altogether. Twitter, Tumblr, Bucketlist, Facebook... you name it -Goodbye! I did leave Facebook once, but I'm so undisciplined that I just joined again. Bah! Not this time. Real life is being far too great.

My husband and I are expecting a baby at the start of July and I would very much like to be out of the habit of checking my pages everyday, which is currently what I do. So many awesome things are happening in my life and I want to be fully conscious when new events happen.

I had planned on writing so much in this post, but there really isn't much to say. I'm far too excited about my new life and I feel I have become somewhat distant from the practical things I used to enjoy. I appreciate my blog stats have risen throughout the past months - thank you to all that read - but for reasons of which I can't explain, all of that has suddenly become very unimportant in my life.

I've always kept a handwritten diary since the age of about 11 years old, but these days I rarely write a full-paged entry because I feel the need to update blogs and all the online pages I have created over the years. I truly think something positive will come out of this decision. I've already wrote in my diary so much these past few days, and it makes me feel extra-happy(!)
Of course, there's always people who'll say "Oh, you'll be back", but that's okay, because those are the unsupportive people who'll never leave, anyway. Right now, the only vibes I accept are positive ones.

So, adios social networking and au revoir monthly blog -It's been groovy!

Work, Video, Soup and Cold Weather

Today is my first day back at work. I'm not particularly looking forward to it, but this week off has been really great, so at least I am going back feeling refreshed. And, it's only 36 days till my hext holiday. As usual, nothing really went to plan this week, but I did sleep and laugh an awful lot.
I currently have nothing more to report today, as I have a few things to do before I head out to work. My blogging will continue tomorrow, but first, I do have a short video of yesterday's events...
It was a cold day, so I stayed in most of the afternoon before braving a short trip into town for some hot soup, but you can see all that HERE.

January Holiday - Day 4 of 11

A quartered day...

1st//
Wow! I am absolutely pooped. Today has involved a lot of walking and organising.
We woke up really early andwent to B&Q for a new kitchen design. It was exciting because the fire alarm went off and all customers and staff were escorted outside. Thankfully, it was nothing serious and we were back inside within minutes. Still, a little bit of excitement for 8:30 in the morning was quite refreshing.

2nd//
I spent the second quarter of my day at a children's play centre with my niece and nephew. I was probably more excited than the kids, because I finally had an excuse to climb on the frames and through the tunnels. At one point, I even clambered across a net bridge and went down, what I would descibe, as a fast, tummy-turning slide. The little munchkins loved it and so did Auntie Zara. When it was time to leave we all went to an italian restaurant where, because I wasn't so hungry, I ordered a tomato and cheese omelette -not the most authentic-Italian meal I could have ordered, but I always eat what I feel like, and at 12:30pm today I felt like les œufs. Reminds me of the time I ordered a prawn cocktail from a kebab shop at 3am, and Steve was almost too embarrassed to order. The prawns really were vile. Great times!

3rd//
I was so excited when I saw a Bryan Ferry T-shirt this afternoon. I immediately bought it for Steve, and tomorrow I'll be heading back to buy a second one for me. It's true, they are T-shirts for men, but I've always wanted a Bryan Ferry nightie anyway, hehe. Awesome.
Kate Moss looks pretty hot, too. The 'Olympia' album cover is cool.

4th//
Now I am sat up in bed drinking apple juice and watching 'Pee-wee's Big Adventure' -Oh, how I love his suit and his naughty laugh. It's most likely I won't be watching the end of this film, as I'll probably fall asleep any minute. Tomorrow, there will be shopping arriving early morning, a visit from Kat in the afternoon and then off to B&Q for more designing -yeh!

to be continued after some ZZZzzz...
